Important Trail Update
Forestry harvesting operations are currently underway in the forest. We’re working closely with the forestry team to manage risks and keep trail disruption to a minimum.
The Skills Area, Pumptrack and Freeride area are currently closed due to harvesting work.
Running Trails – Currently CLOSED due to harvesting operations
Before you ride
Please check the Trail Notice Board at the Visitor Centre for the latest updates.
Thanks for your cooperation and support—riding responsibly helps us keep the trails open for everyone!
——————————–
Please follow the diversion signs to avoid current forest harvesting. Please follow any additional instructions given by machine operators in the area. Do not attempt to ride any of these sections of the trail for your safety and the safety of the operators in the area. Please stick to the way-marked trails and don’t ride on the forest roads unless directed by diversion signs. This is because of the harvesting vehicles.
Please also stay only on the waymarked routes throughout the forest during this period as a lot of heavy timber haulage will be taking place on ALL forest roads. Many thanks for your help and happy riding.

With the high risk of rain / snow in the forecast for Saturday & Sunday, we have taken the difficult decision to close the car park, visitor centre and all trails this weekend (Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th Dec)
After a week of continuing sub zero temperatures, the ground is frozen solid, with the forecast indicating a slight rise in temperature and potential of rain, experience has shown us that this will result in sheet ice forming very quickly creating potentially dangerous conditions on the access road, car parks and trails.
This is not a decision we take lightly, but the safety of visitors and staff are always our main priority. The car park gates will remain locked all weekend. Please respect our neighbours, do not park on the access road or verges in the area.
The good news is that the temperatures look set to rise from Sunday evening, so hopefully we can all get back to normal next week in time for the Christmas holidays and we aim to be open for Monday 19th December, all being well… We will keep you posted.
