Updates / closures

Important Trail Update

Forestry harvesting operations are currently underway in the forest. We’re working closely with the forestry team to manage risks and keep trail disruption to a minimum.

The Skills Area, Pumptrack and Freeride area are currently closed due to harvesting work.

Running Trails – Currently CLOSED due to harvesting operations

Before you ride
Please check the Trail Notice Board at the Visitor Centre for the latest updates.

Thanks for your cooperation and support—riding responsibly helps us keep the trails open for everyone!

——————————–

Please follow the diversion signs to avoid current forest harvesting. Please follow any additional instructions given by machine operators in the area. Do not attempt to ride any of these sections of the trail for your safety and the safety of the operators in the area. Please stick to the way-marked trails and don’t ride on the forest roads unless directed by diversion signs. This is because of the harvesting vehicles.

Please also stay only on the waymarked routes throughout the forest during this period as a lot of heavy timber haulage will be taking place on ALL forest roads. Many thanks for your help and happy riding.

Exciting News: The Centre and Car Park Are Now Open!

We’re happy to announce that the centre and car park are back open as of 10th January 2025. However, please exercise caution when using the access road and car park. While the access road has been treated, some sections remain icy, and the car park is similarly slippery in places.

Winter Wonderland Walk

We’ve been busy this week reopening the walking routes around the reservoir, and we’re thrilled to introduce our new Winter Wonderland Walk. This scenic 2-mile loop will take you through the wintery forest and should take approximately 1.5 hours to complete. It’s the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the snow-covered landscape.

Free Parking All Weekend

To celebrate the reopening, we’re offering free parking all weekend for anyone visiting the centre and the forest. It’s the perfect time to get outside, breathe in the crisp winter air, and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

Mountain Bike Trails Update

Unfortunately, all MTB trails remain closed for now. Due to deep snow and fallen trees, access to the trails is still unsafe. We’ve inspected the routes, but several sections are still impassable. Please refrain from riding until we confirm the trails are ready to reopen.

But It’s Not All Bad News!

While the trails are off-limits for now, there’s still plenty of winter magic to enjoy. Bring the whole family up for a walk around the reservoir and take in the breathtaking views of the forest and snow-covered landscape. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the winter season!

We can’t wait to welcome you back to OnePlanet Adventure! Stay safe, and we hope to see you soon.
