Updates / closures

Important Trail Update

Due to current weather conditions, the forest fire risk is HIGH

To ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, and the forest environment, please strictly adhere to our ‘No Open Fires or BBQs’ policy, which includes a ban on all smoking and open flames throughout the site. If you discover a fire, your safety is the priority: do not attempt to fight it unless it is extremely small and you can do so without putting yourself or anyone else at risk. Leave the area immediately and dial 999 to alert the Fire & Rescue service, then inform Visitor Center Staff.

Forestry harvesting operations are currently underway in the forest. We’re working closely with the forestry team to manage risks and keep trail disruption to a minimum.

The Skills Area, Pumptrack and Freeride area are currently closed due to harvesting work.

Running Trails – Currently CLOSED due to harvesting operations

Before you ride
Please check the Trail Notice Board at the Visitor Centre for the latest updates.

Thanks for your cooperation and support—riding responsibly helps us keep the trails open for everyone!

——————————–

Please follow the diversion signs to avoid current forest harvesting. Please follow any additional instructions given by machine operators in the area. Do not attempt to ride any of these sections of the trail for your safety and the safety of the operators in the area. Please stick to the way-marked trails and don’t ride on the forest roads unless directed by diversion signs. This is because of the harvesting vehicles.

Please also stay only on the waymarked routes throughout the forest during this period as a lot of heavy timber haulage will be taking place on ALL forest roads. Many thanks for your help and happy riding.
