Important Trail Update

Forestry harvesting operations are currently underway in the forest. We’re working closely with the forestry team to manage risks and keep trail disruption to a minimum.

The Skills Area, Pumptrack and Freeride area are currently closed due to harvesting work.

Please check the Trail Notice Board at the Visitor Centre for the latest updates.

Please follow the diversion signs to avoid current forest harvesting. Please follow any additional instructions given by machine operators in the area. Do not attempt to ride any of these sections of the trail for your safety and the safety of the operators in the area. Please stick to the way-marked trails and don’t ride on the forest roads unless directed by diversion signs. This is because of the harvesting vehicles.

Please also stay only on the waymarked routes throughout the forest during this period as a lot of heavy timber haulage will be taking place on ALL forest roads. Many thanks for your help and happy riding.

Weather Update – 23rd November 2024, Trails Closed

WEEKEND UPDATE
 
CLOSED SATURDAY…
Due to the high amount of snow we have received over the past few days and with storm Bert incoming with high winds tomorrow we have taken the decision to close ALL trails, cafe, carpark and bike shop.
As you can see from the images we have had some tree damage within the forest already due to snow and with high winds due unfortunately the snow is still frozen and will cause further tree fall.
 
SUNDAY –
 
On Sunday we will be revisiting the trail network but all trails will remain closed all day to give us a chance to search the trails. The cafe and carpark will be open for visitors but ALL trials will be closed.
PLEASE do not try to enter the forest on foot or via bike , fingers crossed the wind doesn’t cause any further damage and we will be able to reopen asap.
