Important Trail Update

Forestry harvesting operations are currently underway in the forest. We’re working closely with the forestry team to manage risks and keep trail disruption to a minimum.

The Skills Area, Pumptrack and Freeride area are currently closed due to harvesting work.

Running Trails – Currently CLOSED due to harvesting operations

Please check the Trail Notice Board at the Visitor Centre for the latest updates.

Please follow the diversion signs to avoid current forest harvesting. Please follow any additional instructions given by machine operators in the area. Do not attempt to ride any of these sections of the trail for your safety and the safety of the operators in the area. Please stick to the way-marked trails and don’t ride on the forest roads unless directed by diversion signs. This is because of the harvesting vehicles.

Please also stay only on the waymarked routes throughout the forest during this period as a lot of heavy timber haulage will be taking place on ALL forest roads. Many thanks for your help and happy riding.

13th December 2024 – Storm Darragh – Update

Its been a pretty epic week in the forest, thats for sure. But after an incredible team effort, we are stoked to be able to let you know that the trails will be open again tomorrow! (Saturday 14th December 2024)

We still have some areas of the forest which are too badly effected to be able to reopen just yet, most notably the area around the Freeride and Pump Track and the area at the end of True Blue. For this reason the Blue mountain bike trail and the Purple walking trail and all Running Trails will remain closed for the time being, however the Red Black and Green mountain bike trails and all other walking trails will be open and ready for you guys to enjoy again. We will be continuing to work hard to get the rest of the forest open as quickly as possible.

We very much look forward to welcoming you all back over the weekend, this place isn’t the same without you 😉
