Updates / closures

Important Trail Update

Forestry harvesting operations are currently underway in the forest. We’re working closely with the forestry team to manage risks and keep trail disruption to a minimum.

The Skills Area, Pumptrack and Freeride area are currently closed due to harvesting work.

Running Trails – Currently CLOSED due to harvesting operations

Before you ride
Please check the Trail Notice Board at the Visitor Centre for the latest updates.

Thanks for your cooperation and support—riding responsibly helps us keep the trails open for everyone!

——————————–

Please follow the diversion signs to avoid current forest harvesting. Please follow any additional instructions given by machine operators in the area. Do not attempt to ride any of these sections of the trail for your safety and the safety of the operators in the area. Please stick to the way-marked trails and don’t ride on the forest roads unless directed by diversion signs. This is because of the harvesting vehicles.

Please also stay only on the waymarked routes throughout the forest during this period as a lot of heavy timber haulage will be taking place on ALL forest roads. Many thanks for your help and happy riding.

12th December 2024 – Storm Darragh – Update
vrgr

Work is continuing to clear the trail network. Progress is certainly being made, but it’s not a quick job unfortunately.

ALL trails will remain closed for the next few days as we work our way around the forest, clearing the affected sections of trail.

Please bare with us at this time, we are desperate to reopen, but can’t do that until we make the trails safe to use.

We have teams of chainsaw operators working as quickly as possible, so for their safety and yours, please do not come to walk or ride in the forest.

The shop and workshop is now back open, the cafe is also open and serving a limited, but delicious menu, so feel free to come and say hi if you’re passing.

We are still hopeful we will have most of the trail network open by the weekend, so please keep an eye out here and on our socials for further updates.
